Ping An Insurance (Group) Company is the holding company of Ping An Life Insurance Company of China Ltd. and Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Company of China, Ltd. It also controls China Ping An Insurance Overseas (Holdings) Limited and Ping An Trust & Investment Co.

Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. ("Ping An") is the first country to stock insurance company that integrates securities, trusts, banking, asset management and production. The Company was founded in 1988 and started only as property and casualty company. Since the mid-1990s, Ping An has been diversifying into financial services in the heart of the insurance business and began taking business investment overseas. Ping An Investments has agreed to Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs in 1994. In 2002, HSBC took a stake in Ping An important Now it has become one of three insurance conglomerates leading China.

Xiamen Ping An Insurance Company Ltd. is a subsidiary of Ping An Insurance of China, which was founded in 1996. Its main activity is to provide wide range of general insurance products and services such as fire insurance, life insurance, accident insurance, workers compensation insurance, etc.

Ping An Insurance Company has a vertical structure of the organization. Led by the board, there is also the Director General and a Director General who take positions between the Board and Business Services: Accounting Services, Reinsurance and Administration Department etc.
