Truck Roadside Assistance

Truck Roadside AssistanceTip AAA roadside assistance tow trucks?

If you're supposed to tip the tow truck drivers who leave when AAA called for roadside assistance? If yes, how?

It depends on the situation. If the weather was really bad, or it was late at night and the pilot had to change your tire in the rain (for example), then I think a tip is appropriate.

If it was just a quick boost from the battery or short tow (or if you have low income and you can not pay the tip) so I'd say you do not need to tip . A board should be an option, not an obligation.

No, I do not think so. They provide a service that is paid by their employer. AAA pays their employer, and if you pay in advance the AAA possibility that you might need to have your car towed.

I have never, and I've never had any indication that they expect. They came to me on numerous occasions. They have always been professional and quick in their work, do not drag me look like I'm supposed to do something. Usually, they hop back in the truck before I even realize they're - I could not give them a tip if I wanted!

It would be more appropriate to a AAA driver / operator that would be at the forefront of your insurance agent to process your request! This service is paid in advance, and there are additional fees applied and, in most cases. You should not rely on tips.

Yes. In general, I tip the $ 1.00 per mile. So if he is towing a vehicle 20 miles, $ 20.00 should do it. Or you can go by the standard of 20% of the rule of law.

If it is after the peak I guys. I had AAA come to my work once to start my car. Finally, there was nothing wrong with the battery - it was a problem with the wiring, and the guy he set about 5 minutes. He did not charge the service call (I do not know if it always happens, but AAA used to charge a flat rate, plus so much per mile over 10 miles Stanard or whatever it is), so I told him his $ 20.00 anyway. It snowed that night, too.

No, I do not tip if I had known personally. People who should be out are those whose wages are extremely low, because the companies anticipate the advice. tow truck drivers charge a connection fee and the rate of a mile. They do a lot of AAA.

Yes, if they make a request, as a rate drop due to short distance, take you to the ATM, because you do not have enough money or credit left on your card, etc.
