1. Paperwork - Perhaps the most important thing you can do to prepare when you come to pick up your rental car is to have all the documents together in advance. Put your driver's license, passport and insurance documents together with your confirmation number to rent the transition a lot smoother. Also, make sure you know in advance if you need further documentation, especially if you travel abroad, some of these documents must be obtained from your host in advance.

2. KNOWLEDGE - Knowing in advance what to expect when you arrive. Make sure you have a clear understanding of the vehicle, you will be leasing and how it works. Be prepared that you will probably spend about an hour got everything ready to go, even when you're ready, you should take the time to read the lease and look over the car, and familiarize yourself with it. Knowing in advance that this process will take time you will be better prepared. If you are traveling a long day and the family in tow, let them do some sightseeing while you complete the rental process or suggest that they will take a bite to eat. This will allow you to take the time to get everything in order.

3. QUESTIONS - ask any questions that you need, if the operation of the vehicle or on the same agreement. Ask them for emergency road service and insurance. Make sure you have a good understanding of everything before driving the car off the lot.
