What car insurance companies ranked by the number of drivers insured? ie X million Allstate, Geico Y million. Is this information anywhere?
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has useful information to all consumers should check, including statistics on the number of complaints each company receives.
I could not find the number of policies, but they declare the total value of policies, it should be a proper measure of the relative size, these figures are derived from a report of complaints, the number in parentheses (the Index of complaint) a measure of complaints validated by the State.
Here is a table of big names. State Farm is the monster group with 26 billion dollars in policies. They also have the lowest index complaint.
