On the alarm and immobilization on the Merc E200 2 liters ...? I had problems with my alarm going off in my car for a while, so I locked manually without setting the alarm system (to prevent it going off). However, on Saturday, the car would not even open when I pressed the key fob. I bought new batteries and still nothing happened (the alarm is one where it is housed in the drivers mirror). Today, I called the house begin to RAC and hoped they could help. They were very helpful and said that unfortunately this type of alarm system, the only way is to visit the dealership and have all the red light is usually on the mirror and keychain no longer works. The problem is my car in an alley behind the house and can not be towed because it is too small to put a tow vehicle in the spaces behind the houses! Also, I am furious that the mere fact of an alarm system, my car is all useless, can not be moved or towed even - alarm system crazy!
I must find a strong man to push the edge of the road for me, before I do, someone else has had this problem and could disconnect the alarm (which RAC said they could not do on this model) and immobilizer?
Any serious answers much appreciated - I'm going tomorrow in Surrey and at this rate I'll have to borrow my daughters Ford KA, which will blow up the highway in that time!
Thank you.

If the red light is not on the mirror then surely the car starts.
Perhaps the doors will not unlock you have locked with the key is not remote.
On some cars at the renewal of batteries there is a procedure to restore the distance with the car - consult your owner's manual for that.
You do not say that the alarm goes off when you unlock it manually and I assume it is not locked.
The car battery flat - alarms sometimes go off when they should not when the car battery is about to fail, and quickly loses volts. This may be the link between what happened?
do not know the other when you need it for the dealers you have the chance to leave with your shirt still Merc Sorry.
