I run a small independent store, and require insurance companies. Someone offer this direct like household and motor, or do I use a specialist broker?

You do not need to use an insurance broker - the same way that you do not need a lawyer to make a will or to plead your case before the courts.

But it is certainly useful! Your specialty is the management of a shop - not understand what the insurance policies or cover you need - and a mistake could result in loss of livelihoods.

Thus, the confidence of professionals - not amateurs on forums like this.
