Sos Towing

Sos TowingIs it fair to stop hardshoulder hours and call AA and SOS?

Right, I was driving on the highway tonight when my car began to sway to left is not under my control. I was in and making lane1 60 As breaked and yet I kept swerving out of control to the right. I thought it was more then the wind stopped at the shoulder. I had a tire replaced the other week .. and although the same specification that is not the same brand. I attributed the loss of directional control on this. However, the subcontractor who drove my car came to a road construction unit and said my car was very good and I should go on the highway. Would you like to do or insist on the recovery truck to tow home u?

Are you drunk

Your alignment is probably out of the tire. taken into the shop and tell them you want your tires aligned. If you have a tire off, then it will be the car to drift in one direction. (I never spelled with AY ture before!)

If I do not feel save at his steering wheel, yes, I would insist on a recovery truck. Maybe the guy was trying to save you money, but if you had followed his advice, then the car failed and you had an accident, you could have sued the company for bad advice.

I would ask him to follow you when you to the service station nearby, where you can review your vehicle safely, and in detail.

If something bad happened, it would be there to help. If you are not satisfied with the level of service you received, complain loudly.

If you do not feel that you can continue your journey safely, you can use the phone to explain the motorway police. If they thought security was an issue, you should quickly get help.

if the new tire is on the left which could explain why the management from the left, assuming that the tire on the O / S is worn, what is more worrying is the car pulling to the o / That s when you slowed suggests the n / s brake does not work correctly, I think you did the right thing by insisting the vehicle is recovered now you need a garage to check carefully the chance vehicle.good.

So how have you home?

It appears that you have been caught in the tire ruts made by trucks.
Like most heavy vehicles travel the road to face up (track 1 as you call it) over a period of time, the road surface where wear vehicle wheels run. In some cases, it is possible for a car wheel to follow the ruts, like a tram line, the movement of the car without your control. While not dangerous if you have adequate control over your vehicle, it can leave a feeling of unware car driver as they have something wrong with the car.
If you feel that you are always wrong somethong, why not take local "Kwik Fit" center type and you have steering and wheel alignment check. Admittedly, the penalty for you peace of mind.
But back to your original question. If you breakdown, or suspect something is wrong with your vehicle, you have reason to stop on the shoulder and call the breakdown services. The mechanic who came out, tested the car and found nothing wrong. In this case, you must have had on you jounery. By staying on the shoulder and arguging with AA, you put yourself at risk (and the truck operator recovery) without reason apparanet. I suspect you told the AA that had happened on the phone, and they had an engineer's report first to come, so they saw no reason to justify a recovery truck to be sent. I guess the only reason they were out for your own safety.

Just a quick note to finish on these ruts / trams / tracks, while the effect of vehicle weight, are not their fault. Its low for the government does not invest in the exact amount of the maintenance of important highways in proportion to the amount of vehicles on the roads.
