Pay As You Go Motorbike Insurance Do you really 100% honest with your insurance company motorcycle? Ive just taken 3rd Party Fire & theft insurance coverage for my Aprilia, now Im thinking about adding a K & N filter, Akropovic boxes and a Power Commander. Like Im goin 3rd party only you bother to tell the insurance company of these extras? I mean, if I'm hitting another car is probably dead and I will not be paid for the bike anyway, so why tell em? What do you think? Cheers. I'll add another point to this discussion. Tell em, he adds that slab, but not what you're going to **** the blood after an accident when they turn around and say they do not pay because you said it was a standard bike! Most companies do not really care about these things. if you have insurance on your bike and I wanted to be rewarded for these items, you will need to report it, but if they do not care. If you want the value of your extras to be covered, it should be reported. Alternatively, it is your loss if it is stolen or damaged. It will probably not change much your premium. Small changes are generally allowed. Only the important things that can change your premium. Most insurance companies do not care if you do small mods to your bike. When I bought insurance from GEICO last fall, they asked me if the bike was a modified chassis or a turbo ... IM with hello and bikerwoo this one .. IVE been in the same position, I have come, told them what I had just learned they wernt bothered ... But do not tell them that gives them an excuse not to pay on a request ... Nobody said anything about what kind of things but it paid for. Posted on April 30, 2010.
