No one know a company that sells insurance marine liability only, without having to buy the whole package I have a 46foot sailboat
If you own the boat outright and there are no loans against it then there are several insurance companies who insure the liability alone. Boat U.S. and Allstate are 2 that I used. My problem with insurance companies is the restrctions they can put where you can use and still be covered. Here on the San Francisco Bay, some insurers do not cover a boat that goes outside the Golden Gate. Some cover a limited area outside the door. If you are in an area that has restricted areas, they should ask where you intend to browse before you buy.
