Life Insurance Rate Quote

I received a quote for my family and me for life insurance (20 each years/400K). I want to negotiate a better rate with the dealer (assuming same cover). Can it be done, or are fixed rates, is it possible to negotiate. we did blood work and were offered standard rates.
