Georgia Insurance Is it possible to live in New Jersey, but have auto insurance in Georgia? I live in Newark and my rates are through the roof. I pay $ 209 per month for a 2002 Ford Focus. No accidents and only 3 points on my license since I moved here in 2002. The rest of my family lives in a small town in southern Georgia and I was wondering if it was possible to transfer my insurance in a way there. Everything is in my name and im going to visit next week, any suggestions? For automobile insurance the most efficient way to get a good rate is to compare policies on rates of car. Make sure you compare similar policies with the same frankness, car model, location, etc. so that all things are an accurate comparison. If you falsify your address and get insurance on this basis, you take a chance. 1. Your insurance company may refuse to pay if you are in an accident. 2. You could be prosecuted for fraud. 3. You could be fined and may lose your registration or driver's license, driving without insurance required. 4. You could be personally sued by a victim of an accident. 5. Maybe some time in prison, according to the circumstances of the accident. Nope, wherever your primary address and garage where you need to insure the vehicle. The only way you can get away with it if you are a student living on campus in New Jersey and your parents live in Georgia. But in this case, you will be on their insurance! Posted on March 13, 2010.
