Florida Car Insurance Quote

Hello everyone,

I'm going to the States (Florida) in a few weeks and have organized a rental car through Dollar. I just learned that the rate I was quoted do not include insurance. Can someone tell me how the auto insurance system works there? Car rental in the UK, it is included as it is compulsory to be insured, is this in the states or different rules? Do I need to organize a 3rd party to assure me / the car during the holidays?

Sorry, but you will need a full insurance (not sure of the price nowadays). It is common practice that people who sell rental cars at low prices or free will charge you the earth for insurance.

We still use them and I never found a better deal. Absolutely everything is included insurance wise, if the price they quote is the price you pay.

Contact your agent or Dollar to see how much insurance would then visit the site above and you will probably find it cheaper to use them rather than paying for insurance.

Another trick is to join Dollar Express (you can do the thinking on the above site). It is free to join and much faster to retrieve your car at the airport.

ahhhaa! thats the catch of these offers cheap car stolen .... they give you a "free" car - but you must buy your own insurance ... CEP is unnecessary - because, in Florida - you can run into a rage of Florida - State law and if a tourist upset one of them - and they decide to give you a bit of road rage - they will always be in the right .. . and if you do not have insurance half decent - your F'ckd.

It does not include insurance, because they will try to sell you a few different types. Some will be mandatory (liability insurance) while others will be optional (CEP).
