Farm Car Insurance

I'll be 17 soon and I plan on getting my license. Me living with my aunt if I get my license, I would very probably under his name for insurance. The problem is that she worried that if I get in a huge car accident and then theres a chance that we would lose our home. but I really need to drive because I need to work and my aunt works too hard and it would be difficult for her to go to work. She also said that the car insurance for teenagers is very expensive and I know it's true. What should I do? by the way it was State Farm Insurance and I need a car if I get my license because my aunt has a single right car now. But Im certainly not going to get a new car, probably a used car as compact Honda, Mitsubishi, Hyundai or because I know the age of your vehicle and the type of car you drive effects how much will your insurance. advice on what I should do?

You are correct in assuming that you would be under his insurance and that its rate will increase when you start driving.
