MarketplaceEuropean Cover Why women in Eastern Christian churches to cover their hair as Muslim women do? " I noticed that the churches of Eastern Europe, many women wear scarves to cover their hair. Is there a religious reason why they do it, and if so, why do not Christian women in other areas of the world do too? The New Testament says that women should cover their heads when they pray. However, this is not a teaching of Jesus is only a doctrine of St. Paul. Look in the real world. it is not cultural or fashion statement, it is part of religion ... in a part of the Bible (Book II Corinthians) it is said that a woman must cover her head and if she decides not to leave his head be shorn (shaved). Some Christians do not even know what they question why Muslims on earth would they cover their hair (when told to do the same thing in the Bible - What a shame eh). Muslims do it for modesty and self-respect. Christians shared the same belief, but now that America is so "modern", it is rarely practiced and now regarded as strange ... time passes and people are even more ignorant There is a script of your head cover for women. Some think it simply means hair. Even here in the United States Mennonite many cover their heads. Others think it means submission to men so they refuse to cover their heads. It is an archaic idea. They try to be respectful to the church. Im Croatian background (Southern Europe). General women wear headscarves DONT Croatia to the church you can see images of people praying in Medjugorje, etc. Although women can wear if they want / choose. It is cultural. Western culture has abandoned the head covering for women even in church. Many women do too Norther Europe. The coverage of the hair is in fact the tradition of the Jews kipot. coz The Bible says to cover their hair and if all women were not wearing headscarves let their hair shaved bible.it says is true. I believe that the Bible says the same thing about women covering their hair. Posted on March 9, 2010.
