How do I make / save an electric moped imported from China? Here is the website with details of the moped I got:
http://www.zjfeiyue.com/en/proinfo.asp?pl_id=1694
The company that made the electric bike is called Feiyue Holding Limited and I bought it from someone who imported it from China. Now you know a lot about as I do.
I need to save it. I filled out the form and went to call DVLA and they told me that I must take out insurance on the first. They said that I can use the frame number for the insurance, but I can not find a site online that has this as an option.
The main problem is that it is not a common moped. This is not like a Peugeot Speedfight that appear on the database, its made by a company called Faiyue and has no model name. I suppose if she had one, it would FYEBH-1609, but the site says this is called art. Name. Plus I think the max is wrong because I think he can go faster than 22 mph (35kph).
Just to be clear of its gasoline electric unpowered.
Can anyone help me save this electric moped? Or at least insurance, since apparently thats all I need now to register?
If it was built to be "up and running," then he should have come with a certificate of origin. "Use the property register and insure it.
