Easy Money Car Insurance A simple way to save extra money on auto insurance? I'm looking to buy a evo IX (for those who do not know is the fastest car under 50K) and I was wondering how to save money on auto insurance. Should I be registered as part-time driver with a parent, as I am only 20 years old. ???? I work in an insurance agency. Your best bet is to be the policy of your parents (but this is only possible if you still live with them). If you're still in college, have a B average or 3.0 or above you may qualify for a discount good student. A higher deductible will draw a lower premium, but you will pay more in case of disaster. Keep a good driving record - no speeding or accidents. Being listed as a part-time player is probably the only way have accidents and enjoy. Your best bet would be to ask your parents to get a quote from their company to see how it would be to add on .... it might be cheaper .. Tell them that you will only drive the vehicle about 5 miles on one side and stay with your parents for at least 6 months or a year .. then when you branch to own your own business or politics, you would have had the history of insurance before and almost all insurance companies offer a discount for having prior history of insurance ..
