Coastal Insurance

Coastal InsuranceDoes it reach a point where the coastal homeowners will not be able to get insurance?

With all the insurance companies are threatening to stop coverage in areas where there is a risk of hurricanes, they can all stop with the coverage of risks. A scary thought when you're planning to sell your house quickly. Will there come a day when insurance will not exist in the coastal states?

Yes. But perhaps not a bad thing considering how awful these insurers are anyway!

Where I live, you can not even get a real insurance policy. You must go through the state and the coverage sucks. My house is completely assured, I can not get more coverage, no matter how much I am willing to pay. Also, I was struck by 2 hurricanes last year and the insurance company does not pay us squat. And we've screwed with 2 separate deductions. Many people here are beginning to think they are better off without insurance. They can implement and enforce these awards money to storm damage. More profitable for many.

Hopefully this will not be the case. It has always been the risk of hurricanes along the coastal states, but the insurance companies never thought they would never have a disaster like Katrina. If they decide not to provide the coastal states, they would also not provide the states along tornado alley. " Unfortunately, natural disasters happen, fortunately not on a regular basis. But when they do, we expect our insurance companies to do what they promised during the years when they took our money easily.

I hope so. Each time a hurricane strikes a coastal region, the rates go up across the country.

It has already!

Forget the coast. Have you tried to take out insurance south of I-12? , I doubt it will go into extinction because it is certainly an opportunity in insuring high-risk companies. At the very least, the state and federal government should intervene as they already do with other forms of high-risk policies.

Anyway, everyone pays and always. This is nothing new and it is not new to the insurance industry. The cost of doing business is always passed on to consumers. Check the oil!
