Where can I get cheap car insurance? I am a first time driver (Man, UK)? I passed my driving test last month and instant messaging on the verge of buying my first car.
But I have no idea of car insurance. Where can I get cheap car insurance for a time driver of women in the first place?
I used Go compare website said Quinn was the cheapest insurance.
I suggest using a comparison site and go to the site to see if there is a difference.
I think my insurance for my 1st year on a Ford Fiesta and then traded to a Clio was around £ 990 for third.
hope this helps.
That's about the worst place to have answered this question.
Try this. Stay away from the computer. Walk to the phone. Most people keep a large book near the phone. Search in this book and find the phone numbers to several local insurance agents. Call some of these figures. A friendly person will answer more than willing to give you a quote on car insurance.
A quote from a real insurance agent will be much more accurate than a wild proposal given here.
Do not listen to Mad Jack, the phone is the worst thing to use, online insurers are much cheaper.
If you're young and just passed your test, you will not find insurance at low prices.
Ways to reduce the pain are
1) Comparison of sites
2) the insurer of contact and negotiate a discount
3) Go on someones policy as a driver named (which is illegal, if you're going to be the main driver of cars, they can not pay, if you have an accident)
4) Drive the car a low insurance group
5) Forget the car and take lessons in motorcycle, much more fun and cheaper insurance
There is no company or corporate magic will make you a policy of low prices. Just shop around to find the cheapest.
The best thing to do is reduce it to get the best quotes from 2 or 3 websites to compare and try out a few as they do not all face the same companies. When you have that pick up the phone and haggle. They will ask what else do you quote so when you knock out an answer - are not strictly honest, but they will never know.
Some here will be on answering the Spammers and the U.S. give useless website to avoid them.
I would like to try -

Congratulations on passing your test.
Ask your parents about this insurance plan they are on and if they could put you on their insurance plan (not recommended for first time drivers, however).
You can try sites like gocompare.com to find the lowest price for you.
Also, if you want a cheap insurance to ensure you get a car with a small engine (less than 1L 1.4 L).
shop on the net:)
