Cheap Boat Insurance

My friend and I had a boat that was listed as free on Craigslist. We wondered what assurance it could cost us. It is a glass master in 1980. The engine that we are putting on it is 40 hp, and it will be used from April to October on freshwater.

Is there any kind of boat insurance vintage or something that we can get the best price?

We do not need our own boat insured for liability.

Vintage boat insurance, lol. Nope. Boats that are original, do need extra care to keep them floating. If you are looking for coverage of the hull, it is more expensive than the older boat, no less. You might need to get an official declaration of seaworthiness.

Cost of insurance depends on your driving record, which waters you plan to boat, and what assurances you want. Oh, and the type of boat, sure. Most pleasure boats are from April to October as water, then of course you can not normally buy coverage on a monthly basis.

Talk to your insurance agent about getting - starting with the guy who makes your home or auto insurance.

And, of course, you need to save - which could be difficult to impossible, if the guy does not give you a title.
