MarketplaceCar Insurance Italy Theft of keys and then a stolen car in Italy = disability insurance??? I just returned from 9 days in Sicily. We rented a car from Dollar Thrifty Car Rental in Palermo. On our 7th day of our car was stolen, after our keys have been stolen. We had taken the Super and Super CDRs LRT insurance in addition to the basic collision and protection against theft and officers have indicated that we were at the rental counter as insurance not give us the Super Best Franchise insurance and if something happens, we don 't be responsible. After our car was gone we were told by the officer of Thrifty to pay 13,000 euros (20,000 U.S. dollars) We thought that our "Premium Car Rental Coverage" American Express has been our back cover -up, but American Express said they had Italy on the "list of excluded countries. There was a very difficult to read the article in small print of the agreement that they used to explain our responsibility. We understand almost 1 / 3 of all cars stolen in Europe are from Italy. Your story is simply incredible. Thank you, I hope your next trip to Italy is better. Flag If you take the policy and the flight has been clearly shown included at most you should pay the amount that should be clearly marked on the document. I'm driving your car today. LOL.
