Referring to the insurance company and rental car? I was in a car accident that was not my fault. insurance company of the other driver is supposed will pay for all my repairs (as they should). I also need a rental car because it will take some time to get my car. I'm under 21 and no car rental company will allow me to rent one on mine, if I can get "full coverage 'insurance company. the problem is the insurance company wants me to cash advance reimberse for rental car. I'm not someone who could rent one for me, as I do not live near my parents. I asked the insurance company if they would put up a bill directly with the rental car company and they said it was much hassle. Is this legal?
Yes, they are not required to directly pay the rental company cars.
Unfortunately, your age, the vast majority of car rental companies will not hire you. Your best bet is to call a small hole in the wall space, or ask the dealership where the car is fixed, if they rent a car for you or give you a loan.
Your agent will call and have them take part in helping you with the demand on the other company. thats what is an agent. He can get it for you if you do not bother. If he says he can not or will not find another agent !!!!!
Your own police should provide such coverage.
Call a lawyer or your insurance agent. Whether your insurance company know you will make a claim on your policy and they can then subrogated against the other carrier.
Alternatively tell the insurer that you are going to hire a lawyer. This could make them more cooperative.
I force the issue, saying that you speak to a lawyer if they refuse. The word "counsel" usually gets their attention.
Yes, this is legal. No insurance company is required to arrange for your rental car for you. They will do what it would cost to rent a car for a reasonable length of your car is actively being repaired or for a reasonable period of time if your car is reached. The problem is nobody's fault. It's your age and the policies of rental cars. The insurance companies are not owners of rental agencies and do not control their policies. Insurance companies are also no legal obligation to provide insurance on a rental car for you. Most states I know have laws or financial responsibility laws requiring mandatory insurance requirement to maintain insurance on the driver. I know it's a Catch-22 for you, but this is not the fault of the insurance company. If there is public transport available for you, ask the insurance company if they will pay for such transportation that you can get to work and shop, etc.
