Liability insurance companies and medical? I am interested in starting a business similar to a temp agency and I wonder what kind of insurance business I need to get. (In Ontario, Canada). There will be no company vehicles.
Also I would like an explanation on the cost of medical insurance for employees in general, what are the costs to society of medical insurance and how it is calculated and paid?
Are there any good companies to shop? I dealt with Great-West Life Assurance through my old post, but I do not understand how it worked or how it was paid more than my portion.
You can buy P & C insurance for your desktop. Your insurance does not cover the owners of stolen or damaged equipment (eg fire)
As for the medical / health, depends on whether you are buying or group of individual insurance. Most offer group plans, but only a few offer individual plans. An insurance advisor can help determine your needs (individual vs. group) and give you prices on the various plans. There are many good companies, including GWL, Manulife, Desjardins, Sun Life, Standard Life, etc. etc.
In Canada, you might look GreenShield.ca for medical coverage for employees.
Sbinformation.about.com has good information on business liability insurance. see links below.
For employers in the United States seeking a solution to the high cost of employee health insurance to see OnTheJobBenefits.com a fresh solution.
