Enterprise Rent a car in chips in the windscreen? I had to take my car to the body and obtain a lease. I did not opt for insurance now because frankly I do not know how long I'll have the car and it was about $ 20 per day. I noticed a chip in the windshield this morning. I've only really driven the car at night and when I walk around damage to the company, it was dark so I do not know how long the chip was there or if I even did. Knowing full well the company will want to charge me Im wondering if anyone knows what they will charge. I thought to get the do it yourself repair kit windshield, but not too sure it would work. Moreover, the chip is like a bullseye chip and it is not very large.
Turn it over night so that nobody sees ...
"The worst thing is that they can charge you your global franchise that you have on your own car and file a claim with them. I would not try to solve it. They will replace the windshield but if they find it. If you do not have comprehensive insurance coverage on your car, they will charge you the price of a windscreen, if it is. If you return at night when its busy, you will be more likey to go out with her.
Cover with bird droppings ... Nobody wants to clean ...
No, seriously, you can have a repair service to do
a cost of about $ 50.00. Although honesty is the best policy.
Enterprise can really "Zing" you for the fix ...
Good luck with whatever you choose to do ...
Do not focus on this and not try to repair it yourself. Just do not talk about it when you put it in. They probably will not notice.
do not do yourself.
I would call another company and ask them if you have a small rock chip while renting a car if you care if you didn't have insurance added. tell them that you have aready rented a car and had the problem. if they ask just say you had an argument with a friend about this.
If they say no, then your good to go.
If they say yes, then go to a place of repair windshield. car wash (full service) have the repair guy .. and in some places AUTOGLASS do too. call around.
I have much experience in it, because I did it for 3 years lol. the repair business windshield makes money primarily insurance companies. Your regular auto insurance will pay up to 3 repairs windshield rock chips for a year because its cheaper than buying a new windshield when they spread. Most insurance companies pay 50 for this service.
I can tell you from experience that we had people who wanted to pay cash so they didn't put it on their insurance, even if it were a claim of glass and the number didn't like a wreck or whatever whatsoever.
we were supposed to pay the same price as what we have instructed the insurance companies, but I usually didn't. id do it for 20 dollars or whatever.
then ... heres the good news .. the bullseye are usually best placed to secure. they clarify the best! Normally all you can see the result is a small point. be informed, sometimes you can see more than that ...
but ..
isn't the repair to remove the bullet rock to seal it to prevent it from cracking and spreading. the air bubble in the glass, and they should inject a fiberglass in what should it look really nice and unnoticable.
Good luck!
