Do home / car insurance companies favorite with customers when they settle claims? ? That will probably come off as a dumb little, but I can not imagine another way of sentence. I'm 25 y / o, a new owner, and I have already filed a claim for damages to the owners of the water. I had the easiest time in the world with my insurance company pay for repairs, and it makes me really surprised how easy it was. After submitting the request, I looked around online and saw where people had problems with nightmares from their insurance company for the same type of damage that I claim.
My parents have been with this insurance company for 25 + years. The policy is mine alone, but I have the same agent that they have. I was also on car insurance with my parents since I was 16. My parents and I were all very much an accident / Free application, and they always pay their bills on time.
Here is my question. When this insurance company has been the analysis of my application, they take into account my parent's company long term, or do they consider myself independent of my parents? I ask because I have heard of companies that drop their customers, after a complaint of water-damage, and I am a bit worried that they will let me down
No.
Insurance companies do not play favorites. We would get sued everywhere. Most likely the expert had no idea your parents are insured with the company. Your parents are provided with the company have nothing to do with how your request has been processed.
Each request is treated and evaluated on its own merits. When you see people complaining about the insurance company, there is more to the story then what they tell you. Everything you see is their complaint - you do not get the story back. So take these things with a grain of salt.
If you think you can get dropped due to a claim - Talk to your agent. Each company has its own virtue editorial guidelines. Your agent will be the best person to ask.
PS - the insurance companies do not have a monthly budget, they must meet.
representatives claim would know nothing about you, your family or how long you've been with a company. They come to settle your claim. You have a good company. Which is it? Since you have a positive experience that you must share with others.
Most likely the company will drop you for a single claim. But do not put in a claim 2nd unless something big or serious. They might not let you fall, after an application is 2nd, but they can.
No, I think they have a monthly budget or something. So, if your request comes in and the budget has not been used, you get a good result. If the current claims are up close to their budget is doing everything to remove or reduce demand. My mother had a water leek ruined floors and carpets. They suggested (!) Which she needed new carpet in the room where the leak was and in the hallway and another room in the lower house.
not that they do not play favorites. each request is different, always! there are always different circumstances of each application. not everyone has the same policy. everyone does not use a reputable company. etc. .... seems you have a good business, sticking to it. I doubt you spent because of the claim 1. start getting 2-3 in less than 3 years, then begins to worry.
