It can be dangerous if not done correctly. You must know how to do it if you intend to connect the camper and trailer yourself. It does not take much to learn. Never leave parts in the motorhome. This transforms them into objects flying once you moving at high speed on the highway. Anything that is breakable end in a broken mess and could damage other things. You do not want to start your journey by having to clean the broken items that you really need. Either tie them all safely or keep them in boxes as you arrive and you have parked your camper for the duration of your stay. Plan to take care of this beforehand, or you will take the time to do so.

Never tow a heavier burden than the camper trailer or your vehicle can handle. To do so could cause serious troubles. It is seriously recommended to check the weight restrictions on the camper so you do not load heavier than what is said. Towing a camper is something people do all the time. Getting to your destination safely should be your first concern.
